Introduction
The exact definition of the television took from the dictionary is” the transmition of visual images of moving and stationary objects, generally with accompanying sound or electromagnetic waves and the reconversion of received waves into visual images”. But do those images reflect the reality and do they present the mirror of the society? The TV has been commercially available in 1930, and since that, it has become easier for people to get more information about what is happening around them, to know more and to be updated, then finally to have fun and to enjoy by watching movies or witty programs which the majority of them were based on the reality. However, from that time (1930) a lot of things have been changed and one of them is the aim of the TV which has swapped from showing the reality and telling the truth to attracting as much spectators as possible in order to get more money, otherwise said it becomes mainly a marketing aim. In fact, which is so-called “TV reality” is only showing the positive side of the life and always trying to hide the negative ones which make the reality unclear and uncompleted. This essay will argue that people are not aware of what is really happening around them because manager and producers of the TV try better to put them point of views on them programs than to put all the point of views and let the spectator decide. In addition, some people prefer to say that the TV is a fogged-mirror of society than to claim that it s a clear one.
